5 players out injured: Man United’s strongest starting XI after international break

The third international break of the 2021/22 season is almost over and Manchester United are back in action later this week.
The Red Devils could be without Luke Shaw, Scott McTominay and Edinson Cavani for the Watford clash while Raphael Varane and Paul Pogba are confirmed absentees
Tribuna.com have taken a look at how Man United could line up for Saturday’s Premier League showdown as well as the major Champions League clash against Villarreal in Spain next week.
Man United’s strongest XI after international break
Option 1: 4-2-3-1
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could revert to his preferred formation for the rest of this month amid the injuries at Old Trafford. Alex Telles comes in as a replacement for Shaw but it’s hard to see Donny van de Beek getting into the starting XI even with two first-team midfielders on the sidelines at the moment.
Option 2: 3-4-1-2
Five at the back could be here to stay with Eric Bailly getting a chance to stake his claim. Jadon Sancho could also be tried as a right wing-back with Man United coaches reportedly working on playing the Englishman in a new position.
