Arsenal send clear message to ‘amazing’ midfielder amid wage demands

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have made it clear to Bukayo Saka that he is an important player for the Gunners, amid interest from Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City and Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid, according to journalist Paul Brown.

Earlier this month, 90min reported that Manchester City and Real Madrid are interested in signing Saka from Arsenal.

The report claimed that Arsenal and the England international midfielder – described as “amazing” by former Gunners star Paul Merson on Sky Sports Premier League in April 2022 – are in talks over a new deal.

Journalist Dean Jones told GiveMeSport this month that Arsenal are aware that Liverpool could pounce for the 21-year-old, who was linked by The Daily Mail in June with a move to Anfield.

Well-known and well-respected journalist Brown has now told GiveMeSport that Arsenal have made it clear to Saka that they want him to stay, adding that the Hale End graduate is not asking a massive increase in his wages

ARSENAL’S MESSAGE TO BUKAYO SAKA

Brown said: “I think that’s the right thing for him. Arsenal know just how important he is and they’ve made that very clear to him and his people in talks.

“I don’t think there’s any danger that Saka is going to walk away anytime soon. I don’t think he’s demanding the earth either, compared to the money that Arsenal have shelled out on players before him in wages. I think that will get done fairly”

STAYING POSITIVE

In our view, Arsenal fans should be optimistic that Bukayo Saka will put pen to paper on a new deal with the Gunners soon.

Saka has been on the books of the Gunners from a very young age, and we do not think that he is going to leave anytime soon.

The England international loves Arsenal, and he will surely want to stay at the Emirates Stadium and get the Gunners back to their glory days.
