Barcelona agree personal terms with second Chelsea star

Barcelona have serious financial difficulties, and according to some are about to continue last summer’s fire sale.

On the other hand, they somehow seem to be signing up Chelsea players left right and centre.

We know they’ve got Andreas Christensen coming in, and they’ve been heavily linked with Cesar Azpilicueta too.

But that’s not all – if you believe Football.London‘s report today, Marcos Alonso could be next.

The left back has moved strongly to hint he wants to move on this summer, and La Liga seems the most likely destination.

It’s hard to see how Barcelona make it happen, given Chelsea would be looking for a pretty solid transfer fee, but they’ve managed to work around their financial issues so far, and a loan deal with a mandatory purchase fee at the end of it seems like it could work, as it helps Barca delay the spending until further down the line.

Selling Alonso would then allow Chelsea to spend money in other areas.
