Barcelona have ‘blind faith’ about sealing three big-money signings

Following Barcelona’s seal of approval for the sale of BLM and Television rights, the club are expected to speed up their squad building and snap up their targets ahead of the new season.

Cuatro has recently offered an update on Barcelona’s market policy, suggesting the club now have “blind faith” in completing the deal to sign three new players, in light of the economic boost they are set to receive this summer.

The list of three players is led by none other than Robert Lewandowski. Barça have been on the tail of the Polish frontman for quite some time now, with the player himself making it abundantly clear of his desire to leave Bavaria in the summer.

Up until now, Barcelona have lacked the financial backing to meet Bayern Munich’s lofty demands. But that is set to change soon, with the Catalans now hoping to complete the deal before the summer tour.

Another player in question is Jules Kounde. The Sevilla starlet has emerged as the desired target for Xavi as he looks to sign another centre-back, in addition to Andreas Christensen.

The operation to sign Kounde could be expective, but the Frenchman has expressed his desire to sign for Barcelona. The Catalans themselves are hoping to add a few of their unwanted stars to the deal, in an attempt to lower the cost.

And finally, Barça are expecting to sign Bernardo Silva from Manchester City. The Portuguese international has been identified as one of Xavi’s top targets as he looks to add an interior midfielder to his ranks, to accompany Pedri and Sergio Busquets.

The pursuit of Silva is going to be dependent on the sale of Frenkie de Jong. The Dutchman has so far resisted attempts from Premier League clubs to lure him to England, but with Barcelona open to a sale, the midfielder could be tempted to leave.

Manchester United are currently in pole position to secure the services of de Jong, with their new coach Erik ten Hag keen on a potential reunion with the former Ajax starlet.
