BREAKING: Michael Carrick officially leaves Manchester United
Michael Carrick is leaving Manchester United with immediate effect, the club officially announced on Thursday.
The 40-year-old has decided to step away from his coaching role at Old Trafford after the appointment of Ralf Rangnick as interim manager.
Football director John Murtough said: “Michael leaves with the sincerest thanks and best wishes of everyone after 15 years of exceptional service to the club as a player and as a coach.
