Chelsea Set To Break British Transfer Record With £150m Bid For 20-years old as Marina in talks to complete Blues next summer transfer deal

Chelsea are reportedly prepared to smash the British transfer record and offer up to £150m for Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland this summer.

Haaland, who is widely regarded as one of the best strikers in the world right now, has bagged a staggering 57 goals in 59 matches for Dortmund since joining from RB Salzburg in January 2020.

As you can imagine, the Norweigan has been heavily linked with European giants such as Manchester City, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-German – but it is Chelsea that are in the driving seat to secure his sought-after signature.

Dortmund have just lost one of their star attackers in Jadon Sancho to Manchester United and a mammoth bid from the Blues could see them lose their star striker in Haaland, too.

According to 90min, Dortmund are still bracing for an approach from Chelsea, adding that a British transfer record of up to £150m could soon be financed by Blues owner Roman Abramovich.

Attacking reinforcements will be near the top of the priority list at Stamford Bridge, especially with Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham expected to be moved on this summer.

It’s been reported that Haaland’s release clause, which becomes active in 2022, is in the region of £68m – but the west London outfit are not keen on waiting until then to make a move for the young prodigy.

Chelsea will, however, have their work cut out with Dortmund notoriously stubborn when it comes to transfer dealings, but a bid of £150m may just twist their arm.

Marina Granovskaia is in talks to complete Chelsea’s next summer transfer deal.

Championship side West Bromwich Albion are locked in talks with Chelsea as they look to complete the signing of midfielder Trevoh Chalobah.

The 22-year-old, who spent the 2020/21 campaign on loan at French club FC Lorient, has experienced playing in the Championship before, spending time on the books of both Huddersfield Town and Ipswich Town.

It is reported by the Express & Star that the Baggies, who are keen to add some fresh blood to their squad following relegation from the Premier League last term, are in talks with the Blues to sign the defensive-midfielder on a permanent basis.

Despite having three years remaining on his contract, Chalobah, after several seasons out on loan, is unlikely to ever make the grade at Stamford Bridge and cement himself in Thomas Tuchel’s first-team plans, meaning a permanent move elsewhere could be the best next step for him to take in his career.

According to the report, Tuchel has placed Chalobah on the transfer list and made him available for a permanent exit, meaning the Baggies should not have an issue getting a deal over the line.

However, it is currently unknown whether or not the Blues will demand a fee to part with the former England Under-21 international, who made 30 appearances for Lorient last season.

Should the Baggies, who will be targeting promotion back to the Premier League at the first attempt in the forthcoming campaign, get a deal over the line for Chalobah, it would represent a good piece of business for recently-appointed manager Valerien Ismael, who joined from Barnsley.

Chalobah is now at the stage in his career where he needs to find a permanent home and settle, in turn allowing him the opportunity to get into some sort of consistent rhythm, both on the pitch and off it.

Should a deal be completed, Chalobah’s arrival at the Hawthorns, this would represent West Brom’s second signing of the summer, following on from the arrival of Alex Mowatt from Barnsley.
