Cristiano Ronaldo has addressed the speculation surrounding his future amid links with a return to Manchester United.
While naturally Ronaldo, 36, has been regularly linked with a sensational return to United over the years, reports this summer have begun to intensify.
With fresh details claiming that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner would be willing to leave Juventus.
It’s believed Ronaldo and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are still in contact and that a move for the Portugal star could be possible if it made financial sense.
But he still has one year left on his contract with Juventus and his wage demands remain substantial.
United aren’t the only club being linked with a move for Ronaldo, though.
Because Paris Saint-Germain have also been credited with an interest in the player and he’s now commented on the speculation, claiming the noise doesn’t affect his performances.
“I have been playing at the highest level for many years, this doesn’t faze me,” Ronaldo said at a Portugal Euro 2020 press conference when asked about his future.
“Maybe if I was 18 or 19 I might have had some sleepless nights, but I’m 36. Whatever comes will be for the best regardless of staying at Juve or being transferred.
“The crucial thing now is the Euros, it is my fifth Euros, but for me it’s like my first Euros.
“We want to play a good match with good thoughts from the first to the last match.”
