Cristiano Ronaldo’s first day training at Man United is decided ahead of Newcastle clash

Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly due at Carrington on Thursday to begin training with Manchester United after returning to his former side on Transfer Deadline Day.

Ronaldo announced his intention to leave Juventus the week before he signed for the Red Devils.

But an international break has delayed the Red Devils faithful from seeing Ronaldo’s return to Old Trafford.

But according to journalist Tom McDermott, United fans won’t have to wait too much longer to see their returning hero.

According to McDermott, Ronaldo is due at Carrington on Thursday, and he will start against Newcastle in the Premier League over the weekend.

The 36-year-old left international duty early, and he won’t feature in Portugal’s friendly with Qatar.

Ronaldo immediately flew to Manchester on Thursday, but he was forced to isolate for five days as per government guidelines.

The Portuguese megastar will need to return two negative tests before he is allowed out of isolation.

Providing Ronaldo returns those tests negative, McDermott also claims that he will go onto start for the Red Devils over the weekend, 18 years after he initially made his United debut.

Ronaldo will wear the No.7 shirt at United despite Edinson Cavani already donning the shirt this season.

United had to ask for special permission from the Premier League for Ronaldo to wear the shirt, and that request was granted.
