JUST IN: 52-years old manager named as Man United’s prime choice to take over in summer

Erik ten Hag is apparently atop Manchester United’s managerial wish list.

Manchester United Football Club have themselves a managerial dilemma. It feels like Ralf Rangnick has no shot at getting the job permanently, though thats something I could actually get behind.

Loads of names have already been linked, with a couple standing out more than most; Mauricio Pochettino and Erik ten Hag.

If it were a straight shot between those two, I’d honestly find it pretty tough to make a choice. Well, it seems like United themselves have a clear front runner; Ten Hag.

The claim comes from the Manchester Evening News, who state that the current Ajax manager is United’s preferred option right now.

The report adds that right now, the 52-year-old is United’s ‘prime choice’ to take over in the summer. However, no final decision has been made and the club will continue with the process.

First and foremost, United should absolutely do their due diligence on every available candidate.

After all, they simply have to get this hire 100% right because they’ve struggled massively recently. Anymore setbacks like this could set us back a several number of years.

In regards to Ten Hag, he has done a good job at Ajax and that cannot be overlooked. It all depends on how you weigh that up against Pochettino and his Premier League experience, though it’s fair to say his time at PSG has been underwhelming thus far.

I genuinely do not envy Richard Arnold, who’ll likely be the one who makes a final decision on which way United go.

It’s such a tricky choice considering every factor, while I’d also bet good money there are other candidates being looked up who the media haven’t gotten wind of at this point.
