Team News

Ahead of the clash against RCD Mallorca tonight, Xavi has made three changes to the team that lost against Rayo Vallecano last weekend.

The first of these changes comes at right-back as Dani Alves comes in to replace Sergino Dest. The Brazilian defender has been dealing with an injury in the last few games, but officially replaces Dest tonight who picked up an injury himself vs Rayo.

Ronald Araujo, retains his spot in the heart of the defence, while Gerard Pique comes in to replace Eric Garcia. Jordi Alba starts as the left-back. Marc-Andre ter Stegen will dawn the gloves.

There are no changes in midfield as a week’s rest has been deemed enough. Gavi starts as the left interior, while Frenkie de Jong will take his place on the other side. Sergio Busquets, meanwhile, guides the team from defensive midfield.

Ousmane Dembele is dealing with tonsillitis and has been replaced by Memphis Depay. The Dutchman will be stationed on the left-wing, while Ferran Torres is given a run on his favourable right-wing.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the final piece of the puzzle, starting as the centre-forward.

Confirmed Barça XI: ter Stegen; Alves, Araujo, Pique, Alba; de Jong, Busquets, Gavi; Torres, Aubameyang, Memphis
