Manchester United are seemingly closing in on a deal to sign Jadon Sancho this summer.
Jadon Sancho this, Jadon Sancho that. For the last few years, Manchester United haven’t hidden their fondness for the Borussia Dortmund superstar.
It felt like a deal would happen last summer, though Coronavirus would end those hopes.
Here we are one off-season later, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer back in for the Englishman.
AS have an update on the saga for us – and they go big. Apparently, United are ‘close to reaching (an) agreement’ to make this major signing happen.
Apparently, the transfer is ‘close to being closed’ with the idea of completing the move in the ‘next few hours’.
As of right now, it’s stated that the negotiation is in the final stages, though no official agreement is finalised just yet, so hold on to your hats for now…
It does feel as if we’re closer than ever to adding Sancho to our ranks, though I’ll be honest, I’m surprised we’re getting close to hearing something official while Sancho is gearing up for the European Championships.
For the player, the last thing he wants is to be trying to sort out his club future as it’ll take his focus away from the matter-at-hand which is a huge game against Croatia later today.
In terms of what he’d bring to Old Trafford, you don’t need me to tell you how good this young man is.
Aged just 21, Sancho already has the footballing world at his feet and he’s only going to improve.
Hopefully, we hear something official in the not too distant future.
