Man United ‘close to reaching agreement’ to sign player,Star set to become one of Premier League’s top earners with the Reds wages

Manchester United are close to reach agreement to sign Jadon Sancho from Borrussia Dortmund, According to reports.

Two days ago, Bild reported the Red Devils have made the ‘first, official offer’ of nearly €70m, but their proposal for the winger was turned down by BVB because it’s not meeting their demands.

Since then, there’s been multiple claims made both in Germany and England about the Bundesliga side rejecting the Old Trafford club’s initial offer.

Dortmund, who demanded €120m for the England international in 2020, have lowered their demands to €90-95m for Sancho this summer.

AS state the difference between the supply and demand has narrowed as they claim OIe Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are ‘willing to offer’ the €95m fee demanded by the German club, and this is likely to include bonuses.

With the negotiations between the two clubs ‘close to being closed’, the idea is to seal the deal in the ‘next few hours’.

The report adds the ‘negotiation is in final stretch’, but it’s ‘not closed’. All parties involved are ‘cautious about the possibility of a change of plans at the last minute’.

One may find it a bit odd for Spanish newspaper AS to carry this report, but it’s worth noting the journalist, Álvaro de Grado, is based in Manchester as per his Twitter profile, and they state it’s their own information.

If the deal is actually close to being completed, then more reports, from England and Germany can be expected.

Sancho set to become one of the premier league top earners with Man United wages.

The Borrussia Dortmund forward will become one of the top earners in the Premier League, should he complete a move to Manchester United this summer.

The Red Devils are still working to reach an agreement with Borussia Dortmund for the sale of Sancho, with the clubs understood to be £10m apart in their valuations of the player.

United failed to agree a deal for the 21-year-old last summer, though it’s believed that the club are confident of a transfer taking place on this occasion.

If Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is able to pull this off, it would see Sancho come close to doubling his current wages and would place him alongside the highest earners in the division.

Sancho is believed to currently earn £190,000-a-week at Dortmund but would receive £350,000 per week at Old Trafford, according to a report by the Guardian.

Only David de Gea (£375,000) is paid more per week than the England international is set to earn if he moves to the Premier League, making this an attractive proposition for the youngster.

It would also rank Sancho among the top five Premier League earners, alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling – each of whom earn £300,000 or more each week.
