Man United XI vs West Ham: Expected lineup, confirmed team news, injury and Covid latest

While Manchester United were hardly convincing during the first-half of their win over Brentford, their second-half showing was perhaps the best under Ralf Rangnick.

Clearly, there’s still a long way to go but United can at least take heart that their attacking players can interlink to devastating effect while live safe in the knowledge David De Gea is in the best form he’s been in for years.

United have confirmed Aaron Wan-Bissaka will likely miss the game through illness (though refused to confirm he was suffering from Covid-19) and that Scott McTominay should be fit for the game despite coming off injured on Wednesday.

Paul Pogba is back in training but, given how long he’s been out of action, he seems unlikely to start.

Manchester United predicted XI: De Gea, Dalot, Varane, Maguire, Telles, McTominay, Fred, Elanga, Rashford, Ronaldo, Fernandes

Injured: Paul Pogba (thigh), Aaron Wan-Bissaka (illness)

Highlights: Match of the Day, BBC One at 10.30pm on Saturday

Referee: Jonathan Moss
