Manchester United finally agree fee with club for 50-goals forward

Manchester United are on the verge of finally completing the signing of Jadon Sancho after reaching an agreement with Borussia Dortmund over a transfer fee.

The England international has been linked with a move to Old Trafford for nearly two years, and that long wait seems to be nearing an end.

Sky Sports in Germany report that Man Utd and Dortmund have agreed a fee of around €85m.

However, they add that the two clubs still need to agree to the structuring of the payment, including what conditional instalments will be added to the deal.

But the news is positive for United fans, who have long grown tired of speculation regarding the transfer.

They were first linked with a move for Sancho way back in 2019, and although they were close to completing a deal last summer, they refused to meet Dortmund’s valuation of the winger and he stayed at Signal-Iduna Park for another season.

It’s previously been reported that personal terms should be relatively easy to agree, and Sancho could very soon be unveiled as a Manchester United player.

Still only 21, Sancho has scored a remarkable 50 goals in 137 games for Dortmund, and is the only member of England’s Euro 2020 to have never played in the Premier League.

He left Manchester City in 2017 after he wasn’t given assurances of a pathway to the first team, opting to join Dortmund to continue his development.

Elsewhere in the transfer market, United are planning to meet the representatives of Rennes youngster Eduardo Camavinga this week.

The France international is believed to have his heart set on a move to fellow French side Paris Saint-Germain, though the Red Devils are still expected to try their luck with the 18-year-old. Rennes are keen to sell Camavinga or agree a contract extension with just 12 months left on his deal.

Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea set to battle it out for Atletico Madrid forward

Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea are all set to battle it out for Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix.

Felix has endured a difficult start to the season for Atletico and is yet to score in five starts in the league.

Last season wasn’t much better for Felix, only managing 24 league starts.
With competition up top including French international Antoine Griezmann, Felix is often used as a rotation option under Diego Simeone.

Now, according to Fichajes, a move to the Premier League could be on the cards, with Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal all interested in signing the striker.

Both Manchester United and Chelsea will need to find a long-term replacement for their current first-choice strikers.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are both reaching the latter stage of their careers for their respective clubs, so bringing a player with a similar age profile to Felix would be a smart move.

A move to Arsenal may not benefit Felix’s development as much, with Gabriel Jesus performing exceptionally well for the North London club and still only 25 years old.

Manchester United and fellow Premier League clubs are counting down the days until they can strike-up further business in the transfer market. Erik ten Hag welcomed six players to Old Trafford during his first window and they have all made their mark in the starting XI.

Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez have all quickly become mainstays, while Antony broke a record set by Zlatan Ibrahimovic when he scored on Sunday night. That 2-1 victory over Everton also saw former Real Madrid player Casemiro handed his first Premier League start for the club.

Martin Dubravka was the other recruit, signing on a season-long loan from Newcastle.

With one eye on January and future windows, meanwhile, United are understood to still have Frenkie de Jong on their radar, while elite clubs from across Europe will be queuing up for Jude Bellingham should he decided to leave Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund in the near transfer window.
