Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Nemanja Matic are doubts for Manchester United’s Premier League match at Norwich on Saturday.
Wan-Bissaka was carried off at the end of the 1-1 Champions League draw with Young Boys on Wednesday night and Nemanja Matic, the captain two days ago, has been unwell this week.
United manager Ralf Rangnick confirmed Matic had tested negative for Covid-19 and admitted he would not receive clarity on Matic or Wan-Bissaka until the United players report for training at 2pm on Friday.
“We have two or three question marks behind players,” Rangnick explained. “But since they haven’t shown up yet because we train at two o’clock, we have to wait until after or before the training session, until the doctor and medical department can tell me what the current situation is like.
“Aaron received one or two knocks in the game. There is still a question mark behind Nemanja Matic. He had a cold, I wouldn’t call it flu, he tested negatively for Covid. I am still hoping he can be available but we have to wait how he feels today.”

Rangnick made 11 changes to the United team against Young Boys and they could line up in an unchanged XI for the third Premier League game running at Norwich.
“We trained literally in two different groups,” Rangnick explained of their preparation this week. “Before the game on Wednesday, we trained with the team that played against Young Boys in detail to prepare them for the game.
“The other group that played against Palace on Sunday had a day off on Tuesday and we started to prepare them for the game tomorrow on Wednesday, Thursday and, obviously, today is the last day for the preparation of the game.”
