With the 2022/23 campaign set to start in a little over a month, La Liga have released the fixture schedule for the season.
The upcoming campaign will begin on August 14, before going into a break in November as the FIFA World Cup 2022 will be played in Qatar. The season will resume on New Year’s Eve, with the final matches set to be played in June 2023.
Barcelona will kick off their campaign with a home game against Rayo Vallecano on the 14th of August.
The first El Clasico of the season will take place at the Santiago Bernabeu with champions Real Madrid hosting Barcelona in Matchweek 9 on October 16. The reverse fixture at Camp Nou will be played out on 19 March 2023.
Barcelona will lock horns with local rivals RCD Espanyol in their first game after the World Cup break on December 31 on home turf. The return leg will be played out on 14 May 2023.
Meanwhile, Barça will have another Catalan derby to play this season, as Girona have earned promotion to La Liga via playoffs.
The first derby encounter between the two teams will take place on 29 January 2023, while the reverse fixture will be played on 09 April 2023 at Camp Nou.
Barcelona and fellow title hopefuls Atletico Madrid will clash on 08 January 2023 at Wanda Metropolitano before squaring off again in Catalonia on 23 April.
The Blaugrana will be playing their final match of the season away at the Balaidos on 04 June 2023.
