Cristiano Ronaldo’s family has flown into Manchester as he begins his new stint as a Manchester United player.

This comes after the end of his midweek international involvement.

Ronaldo’s yellow card for Portugal means he is suspended for their next competitive match next week and he has been released from the squad early.

The booking was a case of perfect timing as it has allowed Ronaldo to jet his family into England and settle into their new home as he begins his journey as a Manchester United player again.

Ronaldo’s girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez shared pictures arriving in Manchester after setting off from Portugal.

Ronaldo was not pictured although he was tagged in the Instagram post.

Ronaldo arrives back at Manchester United as the record holder for international goals.

He scored his 110th and 111th goals for Portugal this week to move clear as the all time record scorer.

Ronaldo was presented with an official certificate by the Guinness Book of World Records.

Upon arriving in Manchester, Ronaldo will quarantine for five days The Times reports.

Ronaldo will be free to join up with his Manchester United teammates and coaches next week.

He will then set his sights on making his second debut for the club against Newcastle next Saturday.

United confirmed last night that Ronaldo will wear the number 7 shirt once again. Edinson Cavani will move to 21.
