Report: Arsenal are more likely to sign ‘fantastic’ player than Oleksandr Zinchenko

According to The Telegraph, Arsenal are more likely to conclude a deal with Manchester City for Gabriel Jesus than they are for Oleksandr Zinchenko.

The Gunners have been linked with both players in recent weeks, and while the Zinchenko rumour is the latest to emerge, a move for Jesus is seemingly more likely at this point.

Zinchenko and Jesus would both be brilliant additions for Arsenal, but it’s fair to say that Jesus is a bigger priority right now.

The striker has previously been described as ‘fantastic’ and Arsenal certainly need a new attacker to lead their frontline.

It’s a very real possibility that Arsenal could be headed into next season without a senior striker, so snapping up a new number nine is absolutely vital.

Meanwhile, they have plenty of depth at both left-back and in the midfield, so Zinchenko isn’t as big a priority at the momen

This also makes sense from a Manchester City perspective. Pep Guardiola’s side have two new strikers arriving this summer – Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland, so Jesus will no longer be needed, while left-back remains something of a problem position for the Premier League champions, so Zinchenko remains something of an asset within this squa

Of course, things could quickly change on that front and Zinchenko could be allowed to leave the club if City bring in some extra depth at left-back this summer, while Arsenal could move him up their list of targets if either Kieran Tierney or Nuno Tavares are targeted by other teams this summe

As things stand though, Arsenal are more likely to sign Jesus from City than Zinchenko.,r.d.t.nchenko.
