‘There was no better place for him’: Nani adamant Ronaldo’s Old Trafford return wasn’t a mistake
Speaking to The Athletic about his lasting support of Manchester United, Luis Nani said: “It’s special now with Cristiano Ronaldo there.
“Obviously, when you see the news and the situation of him at Juventus you could imagine that there was no better place for him to go than to go back.
“I knew the news would be true so it wasn’t that much of a surprise to me. It’s always a motivation to see Man United and Old Trafford full of fans, the way the atmosphere is at that stadium is just incredible.”
Ronaldo sealed a return to Old Trafford on deadline day in the summer transfer window with Man United acting swiftly after finding out about Manchester City’s interest in the forward.
The 36-year-old has scored 9 goals in 13 goals across all competitions for the Red Devils so far this season although he continues to face criticism for his lack of pressing on the pitch.
