Two major reasons why Manchester United will defeat Tottenham Hotspur this weekend

Manchester United have been handed a double injury boost ahead of Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford, both Raphael Varane and Edinson Cavani are back to training.

Varane has the problem of previously testing positive for COVID, whereas Cavani seemed to have resolved groin issues.  The Red Devils lost to their biggest rival Manchester City last weekend at the Etihad Stadium, while Tottenham thrashed ‘out of form’ Everton 5-0 on Monday night, the Tottenham train is now due for a defeat.

It’s going to be interesting to see how Man United set up as both teams will have different managers on the Old Trafford touchline from that reverse fixture because it’s Ralf Rangnick trying to outwit Antonio Conte.

Although Spurs beat Man United 6-1 in their own backyard behind closed doors last season, it’ll be another storyline this time because Cristiano Ronaldo will be at the centre of Manchester United’s concerns ahead of Saturday’s clash with Tottenham.

Nonetheless, because fifth-placed Manchester United is two points ahead of Spurs in the Premier League table, the match on Saturday might be crucial.

But Conte’s side does have two games in hand, so winning at Old Trafford again would be a real signal of intent, although if Varane does start, then he will surely boost this error-prone and erratic Man United backline.

For these reasons, Manchester United are likely to outclass Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.
