‘Very senior’ Man United players want Solskjaer to be sacked — Duncan Castles

Speaking on the Transfer Window Podcast, Duncan Castles explained: “It’s actually amazing that he’s [Ole Gunnar Solskjaer] still in a job, given the results and the nature of the work he has done leading up to those results.

“Given the response of the dressing room, where there are now very senior members of the Manchester United squad briefing off-record that they feel that the coach has to change if they are to achieve what they expect to be able to achieve with the quality of the squad they have gathered there.”

Castles, who has sources within the club, added: “And remember, this is one of only two squads in the history of the game that have cost over €1 billion of transfer commitments to put together.”

United should be at least challenging for trophies with the current squad which includes world-class players like Raphael VaraneCristiano RonaldoPaul Pogba, to name a few.

However, the Red Devils find themselves sixth in the Premier League standings. Even Arsenal are ahead of us and that’s not a good sign.

Castles’ observations only add to reports of a dressing room revolt at Old Trafford.Source: idusport
