Zidane ‘learning English’ and rejects job offer amid Man United links
Zinedine Zidane is learning English as he gears up to the possibility of managing Man United in the future, claims his former teammate Emmanuel Petit.
Petit told Bookmakers.co.uk: “Communication is very important, so if you do not speak the language when you arrive at a club like Manchester United, that could be a big problem.
“I’ve been told that he has been learning English recently, so I think he knows it’s important for his career.”
Moreover, Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo has claimed that Zidane rejected the opportunity to manage Qatari side Al Sadd – who wanted him to replace Xavi Hernandez as their manager.
Zidane is reportedly interested in managing United – but his wife doesn’t want to live in Manchester.
The Frenchman, however, hasn’t had any direct contact with the club yet over replacing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and is enjoying a break from management.
